To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is submitted in support of Mr. John Brighton’s entry into the United States as a Business Visitor. Our company is a manufacturer and retailer of architecturally designed doors sashes, moldings and related wood products throughout Canada since 1982. Our factory and head office are located in Edmonton, Alberta, in Canada and we employ 60 people. We also have approximately 25 retail stores.
Due to the results of our marketing research, our company has decided to expand our business presence in the United States by establishing a retail store in Seattle, Washington. We already have located a site for the new construction of this retail store. In this regard, we would like to send Mr. Brighton, our Development Coordinator since 1994, to Seattle to negotiate contracts for the construction of our new store. He will meet with U.S. architects and contractors who will submit bids for architectural and construction work. He will review the bids and investigate the companies’ ability to complete the proposed projects. He will enter a contract on our behalf with the most reputable companies that submit competitive bids.
During Mr. Brighton’s assignment in the United States, he will remain on our payroll with our company in Canada as our employee. Please grant Mr. Brighton entry into the United States for this business purpose. It is expected that his job will be complete in approximately 4 months, during which Mr. Brighton will travel to the U.S. for one week in every month, after which he will return to Canada.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Yours truly,
Jack Pritchard, Vice President
